FENNEL ROOTS WITH ORANGE AND OLIVE OIL

For Four People
4 Fennel Roots
100 ml Olive Oil
Two Tablespoons of Sugar
Orange Juice of 4 Oranges
Lemon Juice of 1 Lemon
1 Glass of Water
2 Onions
Salt, Black Pepper

1. After separating the hard sections of the fennel roots at the bottom, divide them into 4 equal pieces.
2. Slice the onions in small pieces and sear them with a splash of olive oil in a large cooking pan.
3. Add the salt sugar and pepper to the pan.
4. Wash the fennel roots well and add them into the pan, along with the lemon juice, water, orange juice, and the remainder of the olive oil.
5. Make sure to keep the pan at medium heat through the process.
6. Cover the top of the pan with baking paper before closing the lid.
7. Put the final routes for 30 to 35 minutes at low to medium heat and when they are softened move them to your service plate.
8. you can decorate the fennel routes with dill and also with a small layer of orange peel zest, for additional flavor.
9. Place into the refrigerator and serve it chilled.
