Istanbul’s Midnight Bebek store hosts Selim Mouzannar’s newest collection, showcasing his signature blend of Ottoman heritage and Mediterranean influences interwoven with modern innovation. Taking place on Dec. 11-12, the event offers an intimate opportunity to explore Mouzannar’s exquisite designs up close.

Drawing deep inspiration from the historical architecture of Beirut, Mouzannar shared his creative process in a 2018 interview with Vogue: “The windows, arches and balcony railings of the typical old houses in Beirut are imprinted in my memory. I’ve translated these elements into my collections; you can see these details physically in my designs.” In 2016, The New York Times recognized Mouzannar’s mastery in reviving Ottoman jewelry techniques, noting: “Mr. Mouzannar has modernized the 19th-century Ottoman falamenk technique by combining rose-cut diamonds with silver-based mounts.”

Mouzannar’s collaboration with architect Zaha Hadid on the celebrated Petal Cuff, which garnered praise from Forbes, further exemplifies his commitment to artistry and craftsmanship. Worn by celebrities such as Rihanna, Emma Stone and Jennifer Lawrence on the red carpet, his pieces have garnered worldwide acclaim. With his collections exhibited in Paris, New York and London, Mouzannar’s presentation in Istanbul is not just a collection launch but a profound celebration of art and the timeless beauty of craftsmanship.
