RATATOUILLE

Ratatouille is a traditional French Provençal dish. From the late 18th century, ratatouille was at first known as the dish of the poor. It was a dish made out of vegetable residuals. During the 20th century, in the city of Nice, Ratatouille made a name for itself. The original recipe’s ingredients are pepper, tomatoes, onions and garlic but the modern ratatouille recipe has an addition such as aubergine, zucchini and other seasonal vegetables.
