It is a must to marinate the turkey for a day. The ingredients for a whole turkey of 5-6 kg are as follows:

300-350 grams of butter in room temperature
1 bundle of fresh thyme
1 bundle of fresh rosemary
2-3 pinches of cinnamon
2-3 pinches of turmeric
2-3 pinches of salt and black pepper
200 ml of grape molasses
3 onions
3 oranges
Heat resistant string

Wash and pet dry the turkey with a paper towel. Try to separate the skin from the meat carefully so that it will not break into pieces. Mix the softened butter with the herbs in a deep bowl. Add the salt, black pepper and other spices. Place this mixture beneath the skin as if you want to wrap the whole turkey.

Scrub the exterior part with the salt, black pepper, molasses and butter. Chop the onions randomly and place them inside the turkey. Cut the oranges in round and thick slices.

Tie the turkey tightly from the legs and wings using the heat resistant cooking string. And place the orange slices underneath the string pieces.

Keep the marinated turkey in the refrigerator for a night. Then add 2 liters of water so that it becomes juicier. Cover the turkey and cook it for approximately 4 hours at 200 degrees Celsius in a preheated oven. Then uncover it and cook for 20 minutes. This will give it a better color.You may serve the turkey with steamed or roasted vegetables.
